Reliability and Efficiency at Reasonable Costs

In the course of more than 100 shipbuilding projects and based on more than 40 years experience of successful vessel operations, CONTI has developed a clear technical fleet development concept.

In order to fulfil the requirements of its Charterers this corporate policy focuses on three factors:

• designing and ordering vessels with suitable key performance parameters such as speed, consumption and intake specifically for a particular trade of employment,
• implementation of excellent reliability standards in close cooperation with charterers, shipyards and makers,
• realization of economies of scale by standardizing equipment and exercising repeat orders for equipment to keep costs under control and simplify crew management.

By operating a fleet of 88 vessels and by having another 32 vessels on order, the CONTI-Group is well-positioned to master these three factors.

This strategy has been very successful: as a result the unexpected off-hire times of vessels being managed by CONTI have been on average less than one day per year and vessel during the last years.
